On May 16, 2019, the Pacific Asia Travel Association Hawai‘i Chapter lost PATA Hawai‘i Life Member and legend in Hawai‘i’s tourism industry, Chuck Yim Gee. Chuck was an outstanding educator, serving as TIM dean for the University of Hawaii, touching the lives of thousands in Hawai‘i and throughout the world. Chuck was an enthusiastic supporter of PATA and PATA Hawai‘i. Loquacious and friendly, Chuck’s presence invigorated chapter events and all those in his presence.

Dean Gee’s PATA lifetime achievement plaque can be seen at it’s permanent installation in the Gallery of Legends at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.

It’s our annual Holiday event! The Hawaii Chapters of PATA & TTRA invite you to our Industry Holiday Breakfast and Silent Auction at Halekulani. This is a great opportunity to get in the spirit of the holidays, for giving, and to network with your industry peers.

We’re pleased to once again welcome Jessica Lani Rich, President and Director of VASH, the Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii. VASH continues to provide much-needed services to our visitors in need. 100% of our Silent Auction goes directly to VASH, which is dedicated to helping those visitors who have been victims of a crime or other adversities while visiting Hawaii. We will also hear from John Morgan, President of Kualoa Ranch Hawaii, a 4,000 acre family owned ranch on the Windward side of Oahu. Kualoa is known as Hawaii’s Hollywood backlot, where tours are offered daily, visiting famous movie film sites and learning about the company’s Agriculture, Stewardship and Preservation efforts. The mission of Kualoa Ranch is to enrich people’s lives by preserving the land and celebrating its’ history.
